Abstract
Research and Communication Technologies (ICT) play an important role in the teaching - learning of mathematics in the current reality of educational institutions in Ecuador, since virtual tools are capable of enhancing the knowledge acquired through entertaining and of a playful nature in the students, however, according to recent research, these tools are not fully used by the teaching body of the institutions causing a clear lack of attention on the part of the student body. In this sense, this research investigates the problem identified in the Luis Cordero Educational Unit in the city of Azogues, since, according to the data collected by the observation of students during their virtual classes, it was evidenced that there is a lack of interest and concentration in the course of the mathematics chair. In addition, a survey applied to the teacher revealed that some students with vulnerable socioeconomic conditions cannot enter their classes normally or have frequent connection problems that prevent the normal development of educational activities, being determined for this research as inclusion. For all the above described, this research aims to: strengthen student learning through the use of ICT tools, identify the educational needs of the institution's eighth-year EGB students, design a web page that integrates the virtual tools with entertaining activities that capture the attention of students to develop intrinsic learning in the area of mathematics and include tools that ensure the inclusion of students with vulnerable socioeconomic realities. To achieve the aforementioned, a compilation of bibliographic sources is made through repositories and academic virtual libraries to inquire about issues related to the development of teaching learning processes in Mathematics and the use of ICT as a pedagogical tool and instrument of educational inclusion in The virtual modality, to the above, data collection techniques and instruments were applied that were analyzed to identify the educational needs of the students. Finally, with the data collected, a web page was developed and applied with striking virtual activities based on ICT that capture the attention of the students. Among the main results obtained, it was observed that the strategies used by the teacher lack variety in terms of the use of ICT, it was also evidenced that students present continuous connection problems that affect the continuity of class. On the other hand, after the application of the tool, there was a clear improvement of the students in the evaluated subjects. In conclusion, ICT tools help improve the development of intrinsic and meaningful learning in students in the area of mathematics and encourage the inclusion of students with vulnerable socioeconomic realities.
