Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work analyzes family support in relation to the school performance of two students. The object of study is to know the positive and negative consequences of that family support. The general objective of this research intention is to recognize the importance of family support in the school performance of children in the third grade of basic general education in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. The theoretical supports that support this project are the Focus on Family Therapy with Virginia Satir (2002) and in regards to the legal bases are the Organic Law of Intercultural Education and the Curriculum (2016). In order to establish this research in a significant way, it has been considered to work with the socio-critical paradigm, with the qualitative approach complemented with the case study method through participant observation and the field diary as an instrument for collecting information, as well as the interview and documentary analysis. Finally, it is determined that family support is essential to overcome all the adversities that arise throughout the educational process.
