Abstract
The present work of curricular integration conceives the teaching - learning of Language and Literature from a didactic nature with a communicative perspective, where it is considered what should be taught and how to improve the development of communication skills of students and the leading role they have during classes so that they, in turn, become efficient communicators. In this sense, based on what was investigated during the pre-professional practice, drawbacks are identified in the conception of the approach in which the teacher-student interaction is needed. Furthermore, language learning is not being promoted as mentioned in the Ecuadorian curriculum. In this regard, emphasis is placed on the communicative vision defended by the didactics of speech, in relation to the approach and the benefits that this has for the development of communication skills. Correspondingly, the objective is to propose a system of actions of a didactic nature, which favors the teaching-learning of Language and Literature from a communicative perspective. Methodologically, the methods of the theoretical and empirical level are taken into consideration; The socio-critical paradigm was used with a qualitative approach, from which the pertinent instruments for obtaining information were designed. The work was carried out at the Corel Educational Unit, in the seventh grade of Basic General Eduation. The results that the application of these instruments yielded were the invisibility of the active role of the student in a critical, reflective and participatory way, which reveals insufficiencies in the development of skills, which requires the communicative approach in teaching language learning and tone with which a methodological proposal is elaborated for the transformation of this reality in the context under investigation.
