Abstract
The quality of education is, nowadays, what prevails in the plans of those responsible for education, in the policies and in the principles of the LOEI: these respond to the current knowledge society and the digital age in which we unfold. For this reason, the following investigation is presented, the objective of which is to assess compliance with the standards of school management in the administrative management dimension in the Oswaldo Guayasamín Fiscal Educational Unit, through the application of an external evaluation matrix and thus know the progress that the educational institution has had. The methodological process responds to a qualitative investigation, through the case study. The information collection was obtained from various sources: observation, content analysis, interview, and bibliographic review. This research allowed to determine the situational status of the institution and compare with the results of the 2018 audit, since at the end of the external evaluation it was detected that the results obtained show that the educational institution has improved in some aspects, obtaining an evaluation of the 50% corresponding to the yellow color, however they still maintain standards in a state of alert and in process, therefore, the authorities must implement monitoring and follow-up processes, that is, carry out the internal evaluation periodically in order to achieve educational quality .
