Abstract

The present master final project (TFM), implementation of the quadratic function didactic unit in first year baccalaureate students, has as main objective that students solve with or without the use of technology problems or real or hypothetical situations that use quadratic function, identifying significant variables and relationship between them, judging the relevance and validity of the results obtained. It follows criteria of suitability with a design sequence of activities, developing and evaluating the mathematical competence of students, which helps to strengthen teaching-learning processes, providing interactive classes that help to understand, solve and reason mathematical study, and encouraging the student who is the builder of his own knowledge. In it the Final Master's Project allows students to acquire the ability to recognize when a problem can be modeled using a quadratic function and solve it to give a truthful conclusion.
