Abstract
The present work of curricular integration called System of activities to strengthen the practices of road safety education of 4–5-year-old infants of the "Maria Montessori" Early Education Center, aims to contribute to the practices of road safety. The methodology implemented was the case study, the socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach and the data collection allowed to diagnose the lack of knowledge of this topic by infants, the lack of teaching of road safety education in the early education curriculum, so the proposal of a system of activities that was evaluated through a pilot for teachers, parents and mothers to make use of it was made. The implementation of 5 out of 10 activities of the proposal allowed infants to acquire awareness of the environment by teaching them to distinguish and understand the symbols, road signs in the road environment, learning the rules for crossing the streets safely, awakening responsibility as pedestrians, future drivers and passengers. Indirectly, it encourages the intervention of parents in the educational development of road safety education at home and in their daily lives.
