Abstract
The curriculum is a study plan that contributes to the educational progress of a country and guides the teaching and learning process. Consequently, of the pandemic (COVID-19), the Ministry of Education proposed a prioritized curriculum, despite this, the Mathematics area faced obstacles in the accompaniment, the construction of learning, the development of skills, among others. The present study was proposed to respond to this problem, the objective was to implement recreational activities from the virtual modality that promote the application of the four basic operations with the set of rational numbers, as part of the implementation of the prioritized curriculum in the sixth year of the Ricardo Muñoz Chávez school. The project responded to a socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach through investigation – action. The collection of information was carried out through observation, interview and group discussion, the use of personal diaries, a checklist and a guide of questions (in-depth type). The characterization of the starting situation was carried out prior to the elaboration of contextualized didactic guides. The didactic strategies involved the use of recreational activities such as: Shared fruit, numerical crossword, mathematical bingo, among others. Students rated the tasks as fun, easy and interesting. The subject that the students liked the most was multiplication with decimals. The results of the evaluation of the proposal show that the participants improved their performance and achieved the required learning. Therefore, the development of the proposed alternative made it possible to promote the application of the four basic operations by virtual means in a satisfactory manner.
