Abstract
Ecuador’s Universidad Nacional de Educación promotes environment care as a line of action framed according the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN. In this context, Morona Santiago and Orellana’s Support Centers developed Nunka Yapajniamuri Virtual Ecological Games. These were designed under the principles of gamification, and using different virtual platforms. Their objective was to strengthen technological, linguistic, and ancestral knowledge skills in the participants, in addition to promoting collaborative work and problem solving through games. Systematization of experiences was applied as a methodology, that allowed describing the scenario in which the activities were carried out by teacher-students. From the systematization analysis of the lived experiences, this study focusses on motivational and inspiring aspects that were observed in participants, these helped to improve and develop digital skills, strengthen collaborative work, and deepen ancestral knowledge oriented to ecological care and preservation. Participants learnt, along with communities, and through virtual games used as a didactic and innovative strategy. From the linguistic point of view, the extension of the local language as a patrimonial inheritance of their ancestors is exalted. Finally, it is concluded that ecological games can be approached from playful and gamified spaces in a virtual way to enhance the skills of the participants, as well as the reinforcement of values.
