Abstract
Fine motor skills are essential skills in the lives of students, as they contribute to optimal performance in daily life, allowing them to carry out academic and everyday activities. For this reason, the general objective of this research is to propose a system of interdisciplinary activities for the development of fine motor skills in students with intellectual disabilities in the eighth year of General Basic Education at the Agustín Cueva Tamariz Specialized Educational Unit. The research is based on an interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach, worked from a multiple case study. The following techniques were used to collect information: participant observation, bibliographic review and interview, applying field diary instruments, checklist, observation sheet, analysis of documents such as the institutional PEI, PCI and PUD, as well as a semi-structured interview script. From these, a data triangulation was carried out, which served as a basis for the formulation of the intervention proposal. In light of the identified difficulties, a system of interdisciplinary activities was designed for the development of students' fine motor skills, which includes activities that help students acquire fine motor skills related to hand movement and hand-eye coordination. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are detailed as part of the preliminary findings of the study.
