Abstract
The present Curriculum Integration Work (CIW), entitled Democratic Parenting Style upon 3-year-old infants' families from Herlinda Toral Educational public institution, aims to promote the democratic parenting style with the families as mentioned earlier. Having these families as research subjects who bear in mind the infants' security and confidence while allowing good development. The present study has been based on the theoretical contributions based on the following authors as the concept of family (Parada, 2010), parenting styles (Dimaté, 2013), the family and its influence on childhood (Marín et al., 2019), and others. The methodology implemented for its development is based on a socio-critical paradigm, with a mixed approach under a concurrent design and focuses on the case study; For the collection and analysis of information, the following techniques and instruments were used: interview-question guide, survey - Robinson's parenting style questionary and the focus group - script of questions; which allowed to obtain as results of the diagnosis, that the families apply the democratic, authoritarian and permissive/negligent style indefinitely. Based on these results, the educational intervention proposal entitled School for parents "Instructing in the democratic parenting style" was designed so that this style prevails, which was based on workshops whose objective was to contribute to the acquisition of the parenting style. Democratic upbringing in the families of infants. The proposal was validated through piloting, in which 3 of 5 workshops were carried out, and, in turn, it was evaluated with a piloting guide for each workshop developed. One of the main conclusions reached in the research is that the workshops carried out were of great relevance because the families learned and reflected on their parenting practices. Its influence led to adopting the criteria addressed in the workshops to improve intra-family relationships.
