Abstract
The present Project called “Development of complex thinking as a methodological basis for the teaching and learning of natural sciences for students from 10 to 11 years of the 16 de Abril School”. Has as its General objective, establish the influence of the development of complex thinking in students aged 10-11, as a methodological basis for improving the learning of natural sciences. For this a critical analysis was performed based on theoretical references such as: Edgar Morin in complex thinking, UNESCO with education guidelines, Jorge Rivera taking Ausubel as a reference to explain meaningful learning, Emilio Ponce clarifying the reality of the knowledge society and establishing the challenges of contemporary education, the MINEDUC providing information about natural sciences and Miguel San Juan establishing the relationship between complex thinking and natural sciences. The research paradigm is interpretive with a qualitative approach and a quantitative derivation, this worked with a survey, interview and observation guide, which allowed us to generate an analysis together with the theoretical references already mentioned, concluding that complex thinking can effectively be constituted as a methodological basis for the learning of Natural Sciences.
