Abstract
The objective of this research was to propose an action plan to improve the pedagogical reinforcement standard to support the school management of the Educational Institution (IE) of Otavalo, Ecuador, based on the results of the 2018-2019 educational audit report. It focused on two main categories: school management and the pedagogical reinforcement standard, the latter being the main axis of study. Using the case study method, data was collected through semi-structured interviews with directors and teachers of the Institution. The qualitative approach allowed us to analyze the dimensions and indicators related to each category, with emphasis on how school management directly affects the pedagogical reinforcement standard. The findings revealed that the lack of managerial leadership and little interest in implementing professional training programs have negatively influenced the results of the educational audit process. These factors contributed to the institution obtaining a low score in the pedagogical reinforcement standard. Based on an institutional analysis, an action plan was proposed focused on strengthening educational management and, specifically, improving the standard of pedagogical reinforcement through leadership strategies and teacher professional development.
