Abstract
This research seeks to design a playful activities guide, which aims to strengthen the teaching of arithmetic operations such as addition and subtraction, through the implementation of playful activities in the fourth year of EGB of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit of Azogues. For this, the importance of applying recreational activities during the teaching-learning process is reflected in the theoretical framework, since from this methodology the students can work from their own practice, in an interactive and dialogical way, with the purpose of generate interest in mathematics in students. In the same way, through playful activities the teacher can create a pleasant and participatory environment that favors meaningful learning in children. As well as, within the theoretical framework, other categories are addressed, such as: playful games, didactic resources, the activity guide, among others, through which we support our research. With regard to the methodological part, the research is based on a socio-critical paradigm, with an action research method and a qualitative approach, thus allowing the analysis of certain situations, experiences in classes, in terms of the techniques applied were: participant observation, interview structured, diagnostic evaluation and documentary review, with their respective instruments: field diary, question guide and the test. From the triangulation of data, it was shown that, by implementing educational games in the teaching of the student, it helps to show the interest in learning through the manipulation of various didactic resources. Finally, the results of this research highlight the importance of implementing recreational activities for the teaching of arithmetic operations and, above all, favor student learning through manipulation and experience, in this way, a solution has been given to the problems encountered at the beginning of the study. development of this work.
