Abstract
This research aims to propose the use of augmented reality to achieve a more optimal learning in the subject of plant tissues in the subject of biology, for which a mixed approach is applied with a sociocritical paradigm in which 30 students of the second year of unified general baccalaureate of the educational unit "César Dávila Andrade" located in the city of Cuenca participate, For this, the quasi-experimental design is used, which has 15 students in the control group and 15 for the experimental group projecting favorable results in student learning, in which a high empowerment of the subject is achieved, in addition participation and interaction in classes increases along with understanding, making students deduce and interpret this content for themselves. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of augmented reality significantly increases the improvement of learning in students which is feasible to improve their development at the educational level.
