Abstract
The present work on curricular integration investigates the implementation and evaluation of a transdisciplinary didactic laboratory in the teaching and learning process of ADN, aimed at second-year students of BGU parallel C at the Juan Bautista Vásquez Educational Unit. The research seeks to address problems of traditional approach, lack of integration between subjects and unstimulating environments, affecting academic performance, as well as the understanding and application of concepts related to DNA. The work begins with an exhaustive bibliographic review that addresses fundamental topics such as transdisciplinarity, learning environments, pedagogical path and teaching laboratory, thus establishing the theoretical framework that supports the proposal. Next, a detailed diagnosis of the DNA teaching and learning process is carried out through a pretest, a survey and an interview at the aforementioned educational level. The design of the transdisciplinary teaching laboratory is developed considering learning environments and a pedagogical path that seeks to improve the understanding and teaching of concepts related to DNA detailed in guidelines for the teacher and students. After the implementation of the transdisciplinary didactic laboratory with the second BGU parallel C students, its application is evaluated using instruments such as the observation guide that reveals a positive impact on increasing active participation and motivation; which are evident in the development of the students in the activities of the intervention proposal and the post-test that demonstrates the increase in the academic performance of the students from 5.34 to 8.53 points in the general average, demonstrating the mastery of learning. required of key topics, such as DNA replication, transcription and translation. Thus, the positive impact of the transdisciplinary didactic laboratory in the PEA has a valuable contribution to education in Ecuador.
