Abstract
The present work of investigation arises from the pre-professional practice of the eighth cycle carried out with the students of the third year of the Intercultural Bilingual Community Education Unit "Tupak Yupanki" of the Oñacapac community, Saraguro canton, Loja province. Regarding the Kichwa language, through observation, accompaniment and assistance we recorded that the teacher and students did not have a teaching guide and through a diagnostic evaluation we identified that the students had low mastery of communication skills. For that reason, our objective is to propose a didactic guide that contributes to the practice of communicative skills in the kichwa language, for students to use the language in different contexts. In view of this, the communicative skills that must be worked on for the acquisition of a language are: listening and reading comprehension, oral interaction, oral expression and written production. The research work was based on the analysis of concepts developed in the theoretical framework indicating the importance of teaching and learning a language from the development and practice of communicative skills; all the theoretical and conceptual constructs and developments allowed to extend and to base the importance of a didactic guide in the educational work for the student and teacher. Also, the research work has characteristics of an ethnographic investigation; through the techniques, participant observation, unstructured interviews, diagnostic test, and instruments; field diaries and multimedia records; allowed us to collect information in the community, institutional and classroom context that would support the research. Thus, the proposed didactic guide will constitute a fundamental tool in the educational work of the third year of basic education of the UECIB "Tupak Yupanki"; it will also allow the development and practice of the communicative skills that are indispensable in the learning of a language. The student will practice skills and develop an effective communication process and at the same time strengthen the learning of the Kichwa language.
