Abstract
In this degree work we approach a critical perspective to contemporary learning, with a vision that goes beyond traditional education rooted in models that limit the student in the knowhow. We believe that education can and should be understood within the conception of an educational event, which allows an exposition and involvement of the student in and for the world. To address this issue, we use philosophical concepts of renowned theorists in the field of education (Biesta, Bárcenas, Mélich, Simons, Masschelein, Arendt ...). We have taken one more step, by approaching this analysis not only from a theoretical reflection, but from our experience in the classroom as pre-professional practice students. The objective is to understand the experience of an educational event during the stay and participation in a tenth grade classroom. To achieve this objective, we use the qualitative research approach, due to the natural nature of the research, in addition, we select as a strategy the case study to deepen our approaches in two students of the institution. The instruments chosen for the analysis and data collection were the participant observation and the students' diaries. For the analysis we have opted for an interpretative analysis for the interpretation characteristics of singular practices. The results obtained from the empirical implication and analysis, denote approaches of the students to the conception of educational event for their participation and commitment to knowledge, however, their appropriation of the world is limited by orthodox practices that are aligned to a training construct in skills and competencies.
