Abstract
The degree work proposes a strategic plan to prepare teachers for the care of students with intellectual disabilities according to the teaching and learning process at the Escuela de Educación General Básica Oriente Ecuatoriano. The problem arises from the experiences obtained in the work experience, where it has been found that the results of the diagnosis of teachers in terms of methodological strategies, knowledge of inclusion, intellectual disability and curricular adaptations are deficient. During classes, students with intellectual disabilities feel excluded and discriminated against due to their conditions and abilities, due to the little knowledge of teachers in how to attend to this group of students, a key aspect for the preparation of the proposal. These elements lead to research to have a guiding axis on how to contribute to teacher training in attention to diversity and inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities. For which an intervention proposal is proposed to train teachers in methodological strategies of attention in inclusive cultures focused on students with intellectual disabilities. The work contributes as scientific results a diagnosis of inclusive practices by teachers to this group of priority attention students.
