Abstract
Evaluation is a process of identification, collection and treatment of direct information about learning; that is to say, the evaluation through the tests is not only reduced to the qualification but it also allows a deep interpretation of the students' learning. What learning achievements and knowledge errors do the students present? The purpose of this work was to determine, through the evaluation tests, the learning achievements and errors of mathematical knowledge in the students of Higher Basic General Education. This study was developed from a qualitative approach. The technique that was used was the documentary analysis. For the recording of data, analysis logs and documentary analysis guides were used. 214 eighth, ninth and tenth year students of the Luis Cordero Educational Unit participated, of which 290 units of analysis were obtained. The results show in the first instance that 48 contents were evaluated with respect to the curricular blocks of Mathematics. From the analysis of the tests, the level of achievement for each item was determined and the achievements regarding the dimensions of context, content, capabilities and difficulty were analyzed,
