Abstract
This research aims to implement the Project Method to contribute to learning in the field of Social Studies in students of the Eighth year of Basic General Education in the Educational Unit "Fasayñan. As a result of the theoretical study, the Project Method is proposed as a methodological strategy to apply in research. The Project Method is considered as the methodology applied to develop the ABP. The scientific problem is expressed in How to contribute to the development of Social Studies learning in students of the Eighth year of EGB, in the period of the second block of the 2019-2020 school year? The qualitative methodology is used, based on the socio-critical paradigm with a marked self-reflective character. The analysis unit, the categories and the criteria for the analysis of the categories are established, with them the diagnosis is evaluated, the project proposal is prepared and the results achieved are evaluated. As a result, complex content learning is achieved in the eighth grade EGB students, as well as the development of associated skills when learning to learn and more favorable attitudes to this type of strategies, where research plays an essential role in learning autonomously. . It is concluded that the Project Method facilitates and enhances the work in the area of knowledge of Social Studies, it allows a wide autonomy in the student to search for information, plan their actions, execute the project, control its development and assess the process and learning outcome. The student learns to learn.
