Abstract
The Curricular Integration Work "Importance of learning environments for the teaching of Cultural and Artistic Education" aimed to develop artistic skills and abilities in boys and girls in the 5th year of Basic General Education of the Basic General Education School " Daniel Córdova Toral” from the Zhullin community, Azogues-Cañar canton. For this, the Atelier "La Guarida" was implemented, as a learning method based on the theoretical conception of García (2022), and the pedagogical thought of Rousseau (1972), Freire (1997) and Dewey (1995). In addition, reference is made to authors such as Vecchi (2013), Augustousky (2012) and Estrada & Arévalo (2022), who base work in the atelier as a promoter of learning or personal autonomy in the educational system. All this alluding to the curriculum and Cultural and Artistic Education (ECA) in Ecuador. The present investigation worked from a qualitative methodology proposed by Bassi (2015) that promotes the Participatory Action Research (IAP) approach and the phases designed by Lewin (1946), the method that supports this research is the systematization of experiences from the conception of Jara (2018), typical of the aforementioned methodology; The techniques applied in the research are: the diagnostic interview, participant observation and the focus group, using as instruments the question guide for the interview and focus group, the field diary, the anecdotal record and the photographic record. After having implemented and evaluated the relevance of the Atelier "La Guarida" it was concluded that it is important to work the ECA from different environments that allow the student to make use of the arts to be a protagonist, actor and fundamental participant in the process of self-recognition and of the classroom environment that is viewed as a determining factor in student learning and the educational context.
