Abstract
The present work refers to the comprehensive reading through the Ecuadorian contemporary story, applied in the 10th grade of the School of Basic Education "Francisco Andrade Marín", searching to strengthen the linguistic competences of the students, through the use of narrative literary texts. The objective of this work is to obtain the valuation of Ecuadorian written literature with the execution of dynamic motivating activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, reflection and pleasure through reading. With the design of the didactic sequence has been achieved that there is a greater reading comprehension of the proposed stories, better communication, interaction between students and teacher, expression of ideas, criteria and especially collaborative work and teamwork, which helps to leave aside traditionalism, in order to give greater importance to the construction of learning, critical analysis and the generation of significant learning at all levels and areas.
