Abstract
It was considered essential to strengthen emotional intelligence from an early age. Emotional intelligence from a psychoeducational perspective allowed children to identify and express emotions. Taking into account that it improved affective development among infants. The children presented problems in emotional intelligence, since during both virtual and face-to-face classes difficulties could be observed when perceiving, expressing and valuing their emotions. The general objective of the research was to strengthen emotional intelligence through a didactic primer based on the mindfulness technique in infants from 4 to 5 years of parallel B of the CEI Rita Chavez de Muñoz. The theoretical references of this work focused on emotional intelligence, for which Mayer and Salovey (1997) are cited, which contemplate the following characteristics: perception, expression and evaluation of emotions, in order to strengthen the emotional intelligence of the children. It started from a socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach, seeking to strengthen emotional intelligence from an action research methodology guided by the phases. The techniques applied during the diagnostic phase were participant observation and interview, allowing the collection of true information. The daily field instruments, observation guide and interview guide facilitated the detailed precision of emotional intelligence. As a result of the diagnosis, it was identified that the lack of emotional work hinders communication with each other, seeing the inaccuracy of knowledge on the subject as the primary cause, for this reason a proposal called magic faces was developed. Finally, the conclusion reached was that implementing projects through a didactic booklet helped strengthen the emotional intelligence of children. Also, by applying the mindfulness technique, it allows infants to create an environment of trust so that they can express their emotions. It was a great help for the teacher, students and parents, because the project was done collaboratively.
