Abstract
The objective of this work is to apply strategies to improve social skills of children between 10 and 11 years old who are in the sixth year of basic education, in "El Quiteño Libre" school, through group dynamics and games, developing motor skills, cooperative methodologies, psycho-pedagogical evaluations to contribute in the development of harmonious coexistence, whit respect and tolerance for individual differences. The work is carried out because the majority of students presented problems of domestic violence, dysfunctional homes, aggression among peers, sale of drugs and vulnerability among others, which caused aggressive behavior among peers. The social skills are worked taking as base the emotions and work by means of the assertive communication, active listening, taking care of the individual differences, developing the empathy and elevating its self-esteem. Positive changes are achieved, students are finally able to solve conflicts peacefully, their academic performance, interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships improve, their values are strengthened, ie developed social skills with which they can live harmoniously.
