Abstract
The present work arises from the observations made during the pre-professional practice, regarding the family accompaniment in the teaching-learning process of the children of the sub-level 2 C.E.I. "Tomás Sacoto" (Biblián-Cañar). Taking into account as a fundamental purpose of the research the strengthening of family accompaniment in the teaching-learning process through a parents' school as a concrete proposal. The theoretical contributions of Vargas and Giannotti (2021), Lombeida and Solís (2021), among others, are adopted, which allow understanding the importance of the inclusion of the family in early education. The research process is based on action research and emphasizes the mixed approach, highlighting the qualitative part. It also uses qualitative and quantitative techniques for data collection, such as participant observation during practices, bibliographic review, teacher interview, assembly of infants and a survey of representatives. It is considered that children learn experientially and build their learning gradually with the help of the teacher and their family, in the educational-family, virtual-face-to-face environment. In order to comply with the proposal, the usefulness of the workshops given to the parents was implemented and evaluated, using different instruments to collect information, such as the field diary in each workshop, a group interview with the participants and an interview with the teacher. The results emphasize the workshop for parents as a practical way to raise awareness about family involvement in early childhood education. Likewise, parents were able to learn about various strategies to provide adequate support to children.
