Abstract
The partial attention presented to environmental education and the low harmonious coexistence with nature lead to a process of deterioration of the natural environment. Contingency actions are not sufficient if a community is not able to form sensitive to the importance of environmental care. The value of relating to our environment is a very important characteristic, because only in this way will we be able to create a contact of solidarity coexistence between people and, them with nature; therefore, we use transdisciplinary as the essence to restore unity between different knowledges and, to understand it, "it is necessary to get out of the classical and positivist vision of science and accept a new and challenging way of seeing reality" (Dieleman, 2015, p.1). That is why, through the socio-critical paradigm, we implement a pedagogical and innovative strategy of participatory research-action with a transdisciplinary approach to the development of environmental education from learning mathematics in the Zoila Aurora Palacios Educational Unit, which led the educational community to " manifested by the National Plan for Good Living (p.55) established by SENPLADES (2009) The end result was an Educational Institution organized from the transdisciplinary to the development of environmental education in good environmental and pedagogical practices associated with learning mathematics, presented through a feasible design to be adopted, re-produced and modified in other pedagogical processes according to the needs addressed in each school context.
