Abstract
In the current educational scenario, where conventional teaching methods lack effective interaction with students and exhibit decreasing effectiveness in their learning, this research project is proposed as an innovative response. Its main objective lies in the implementation of Active Methodologies through the design of a Didactic Unit Plan, in order to address the problem of understanding the topic of heat and temperature in Physics with the second year BGU students at Manuel J. Calle Educational Unit. This research is based on a comprehensive review of relevant historical and contemporary literature. It adopts a mixed methodological approach framed in a socio-critical paradigm, through instruments that allow a detailed analysis of the teaching-learning dynamics and evaluating the level of understanding of students in Physics. The research is characterized by its quasi-experimental design, which has a control and experimental group respectively. The PUD designed includes five microcurricular plans to address the topic of heat and temperature with the methodologies: Game-Based Learning, Cooperative Learning, Experimental Methodology and Design Thinking. Finally, the results obtained between the control and experimental groups are compared, supported by the checklists, which allows establishing the reliability and validity of the intervention proposal called "Active understanding of Physics, beyond the formulas." Significant results of understanding of the topic of heat and temperature in the experimental group and a high index of acceptability of the proposal.
