Abstract
The project The reading corner as a space that fosters harmonious coexistence in the Pre-school level sub-level 2 of the Santa Rosa de Ambato Educational Unit had the purpose of adapting a space that favored the creation of an environment where children can relate in a safe and empathetic way, prioritizing their development at a general level. This research was born from the pre-professional immersion practices that were carried out in the parish of Santa Rosa. In this way, a research process was carried out through direct participation in the classroom of the infants, to then collect information with the help of field diaries and an interview with the teacher; this information was indispensable to be able to raise the problem and objectives, in the same way the theoretical review is given where emphasis was made to authors such as Reyes (2005), Correa (2009), Duarte (2003) who highlight the importance of coexistence and the creation of spaces that promote it. For the methodological section, which consisted of paradigm, level, design, approaches, various techniques were applied such as observation, interview and research instruments such as the script of questions and the field diary. In addition, data triangulation was developed to generate an analysis of the problem and its intervention. In this way, it was concluded that the implementation of the reading corner is indispensable, since it is a space where learning experiences could be built that strengthened the harmonious coexistence.
