Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work (ICT) studies the teaching-learning process of the basic operations of addition and subtraction. With this, we seek to reflect on the problems that may arise within the approach to these operations so that an appropriate solution is proposed. Therefore, we aim to promote the teaching-learning process of addition and subtraction in the third grade of Basic General Education. Our main theoretical axes are didactic of Mathematics, Curriculum, basic operations and the Singapore Method. The research methodology is based on the socio-critical paradigm, the qualitative approach, and the action-research method. In addition, various techniques and instruments were applied to both the teacher and students to know the classroom reality on mathematical learning. From all the information collected, we designed a didactic proposal supported by the Singapore Method. This focused on developing skills with performance criteria, which involves adding and subtracting numbers ranging from 0 to 999. Thus, we proposed different mathematical exercises, which had to be solved using concrete material, graphics, and symbols to reach a solution process numerically. This diversification of resources allowed us to counteract the main difficulties and errors in the algorithm proposed by Godino et al. (2004a), our main theoretical references
