Abstract
The present research focuses on the systematization of the studies on reading comprehension carried out by UNAE graduates during the period 2019-2022. The purpose is to assess the relationship between the theoretical conception and the proposed solutions to the problems of reading comprehension, it is crucial for the development of communicative skills. The analysis is based on a comprehensive review of theses related to reading comprehension, identifying the theoretical and methodological approaches used, as well as the didactic strategies proposed. In order to better understand the difficulties and achievements of the research, structured interviews were conducted with thesis tutors. In addition, a detailed evaluation of each thesis was carried out, assigning them a grade according to specific criteria considered for the research. This work aims to systematize the experiences, theoretical approaches and proposed solutions related to reading comprehension, evidenced in the research of UNAE graduates between 2019 and 2022. The findings reveal a variety of theoretical approaches and methodological proposals in different educational contexts, highlighting the importance of a good theoretical base and innovative didactic strategies to improve reading comprehension. It also highlights the need for collaboration among teachers and the continuous updating of theoretical frameworks to face the challenges in teaching reading comprehension.
