Abstract
The purpose of the degree work in its Application modality is to use the Repetition Technique to improve the skills of oral communication in the English language, in the students of Third of Technical Bachillerate of FIP Mechanic, of the Educational Unit “Vicente Anda Aguirre”. To achieve this purpose, four steps were followed: Step 1: Diagnosis, for the development of this activity, a first video was prepared with the theme “Let´s talk about movies” that contained images of students, photographs of films with their respective genres of interest, together with the narrations developed by the students and with a duration of 5 minutes in three groups, two of them four and one of three, this was done with the help of a rubric that contains evaluation indicators of their own for this process such as understanding the English language, issuance and pronunciation of vocabulary, use of grammar rules, resulting in 73% of 11 students, divided into 4 women and 7 men with an age range of 17 to 22 years belonging to the Technical Baccalaureate who formed 100% of the research with oral expression difficulties developed in the first video in which they demonstrated this shortcoming in English; Step 2: Research: Several teaching - learning techniques were studied to improve Speaking in the students, which was determined that the Repetition Technique was the most optimal for the construction of learning for this heterogeneous group of students; Step 3: Socialization: Once the technique was studied, the students were socialized and the oral narrations were developed in the school hours, which showed that the students put more interest since they had greater retention of vocabulary and the development was from of a gradual process; Step 4: Application and Assessment: The students of the Third Technical Baccalaureate of the FIP Mechanics, when they used the Repetition Technique in classes showed an improvement in speaking, so in this last step videos were created to demonstrate that the change of An innovative technique helps the teaching-learning process, that is why in the second video the oral narrations and the speaking in English had an improvement of 91%, the students reached their goal, thus indicating that the Repetition Technique is a good one proposal for the construction of knowledge and for the teaching-learning process.
The change from a traditional didactic to a constructivist one, influenced the students who disciplined their learning and their aptitudes to be able to construct their knowledge from the Repetition Technique. Observing the results, the students were motivated by the advances and changes acquired, taking a notable step towards the progress of oral ability. Therefore, this application project has proven to be valid and transferable to be applied in other schools that want to improve English speaking skills.
