Abstract
The present research entitled Gamified activities in the teaching of artistic expression in the initial level 2 of the Manuel J Calle Educational Unit, located in Cuenca, Ecuador. It aims to enhance teaching in the field of artistic expression through gamification, under the Waldorf pedagogy. Due to the evidence of traditional activities and lack of teaching methodologies on the part of the teacher. The methodology of this research is the interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach, using action research. Also, a matrix of operationalization of categories, subcategories and diagnostic indicators was used to analyze the teaching methodology of the teacher. Instruments such as an interview, field diaries and an observation guide were designed and applied. The analysis revealed the need for new teaching strategies in the area of artistic expression. As a result, a booklet called "World of Colors" was developed. After its application, it was observed that the children created new routines, experimented, communicated and expressed ideas and emotions in a dynamic and fun way. It is concluded that gamification in the field of artistic expression improves discipline, controls behavior and motivates children's participation.
