Abstract
The research aims to develop artistic skills and abilities through the application of theatrical play as a methodological and interdisciplinary strategy. For this purpose, a qualitative study was carried out under the action-research design and through the application of data collection techniques such as documentary review, participant observation and semi-structured interview. The pedagogical intervention proposal was designed, executed and evaluated, resulting in the achievement of learning related to theater, literature, drawing and performance and the acquisition of competencies related to the design and elaboration of a theatrical work, such as the creation of stories, scripts, costumes, scenery and the ability to play different characters and represent different situations. Finally, it could be concluded that the theatrical game applied as an interdisciplinary methodological strategy has made possible the development and strengthening of the artistic skills and abilities necessary for the teaching of Cultural and Artistic Education in the sixth-year of Basic Education of the Unidad Educativa Zoila Esperanza Palacio.
