Abstract
The main objective of this curricular integration project is to contribute to the learning of basic mathematical operations through an academic reinforcement program in a public school located in the city of Cuenca, aimed at students of the Elementary Sublevel. The analysis carried out is based on observations made during pre-professional practices, where it was possible to identify those students presented incomplete development in fundamental topics, especially in basic mathematical operations. In methodological terms, the socio-critical paradigm and qualitative approach have been chosen, using the case study method. The techniques applied include participant observation, semi-structured interview and diagnostic test. The instruments used, are field diaries, anecdotal records, observation guides and interview guides, have provided valuable information to identify a specific case. Based on the case study, an academic reinforcement guide has been developed that incorporates various activities aimed at improving student learning, focusing especially on basic operations. These activities are based on pedagogical approaches such as game-based learning, problem solving and overcoming challenges using specific methods for the development of activities. In conclusion, to achieve effective development and learning of students, the intervention of all members of the Educational Institution is essential. Likewise, the use of appropriate methodologies, methods and activities is essential for the development of the mathematics teaching process, transforming the classroom space into an environment conducive to student learning.
