Abstract
Motivation for learning in early childhood is a topic of vital importance, as it allows infants to develop interest in the activities carried out inside and/or outside the classroom. This research project is framed within the socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach and responds to an action-research method. The main objective is to implement a didactic guide of activities that contribute to the motivation for learning, taking into account the game as the main didactic strategy in the field of logical-mathematical relations. During the work practices carried out in the "Totoracocha" Early Education Center with 8 infants from 4 to 5 years old, the need to generate actions to motivate learning through playful activities was identified, due to the need to enhance the active participation of infants in synchronous meetings, as well as the high percentage of absenteeism. As part of the research, a search for theoretical foundations was carried out, considering as main references the motivational theories of Maslow, Alderfer and McClendal, as well as MinEduc publications. As a result of the research, the need to enhance play and diversify activities within the synchronous meetings was identified; in response to this scenario, the activity guide "The world of mathematics" was designed and implemented, which implied an increase in the participation and interaction of the children. In conclusion, learning should be linked to enjoyment and in Early Education the best way to do this is through play.
