Abstract
This research is about the correct application of strategies in order to achieve an adequate reading comprehension, it is focused on the area of language and literature for students of ninth year of basic education of "Remigio Crespo Toral school. Within the teaching-learning process, a correct reading comprehension, strengthens the process of apprehension of knowledge whose results optimize the learning in the different subjects. In the development of the research, the survey was applied, which showed that the students have very little attachment and interest in reading, these aspects allowed me to strengthen the strategies to achieve a correct reading comprehension. In the process, a diversity of technjques and reading comprehension strategies was found to be applied, with the students that allow to optimize the teaching-learning process.
This project will have an effective and efficient application through the teaching contribution, to the students at all levels of the school.
