Abstract
Promoting interest in reading fosters the development of individuals with critical thinking, who contribute significantly to the transformation of society, which is why the general objective of this research is to propose a guide of didactic activities that enhances interest in reading in boys and girls from Parallel High School B of the “Herlinda Toral” Educational Unit. Regarding the methodology, a socio-critical paradigm and a qualitative approach have been considered; instruments such as the field diary, interviews and observation guides were used to collect information. Likewise, theoretical foundations such as the Basic Education Curriculum, Ministry of Education, among others, were considered. The results obtained from the execution of the educational intervention proposal were favorable, since the majority of the infants showed interest in each of the proposed activities, one of the results obtained addresses that the infants actively participated in each one. of the activities. It is concluded by mentioning that this proposal generates a significant and quality contribution to the learning of each child, since it develops at the same time as the game, creating a pleasant and fun environment.
