Abstract
The present study focuses on the implementation of didactic resources in the area of mathematics for the teaching and learning of the fraction with sixth grade children of the San Juan de Ilumán Community Educational Unit, incorporating knowledge and know-how of the community itself such as: weaving. This research was born from the observation made during the pre-professional practices of the 8th cycle of the Intercultural Bilingual Education career of the National University of Education, where it was evidenced the lack of knowledge in the subject of mathematics, particularly in the subject of fractions, a situation derived from the Covid-19 pandemic. The main objective was to implement didactic resources as a strategy for the teaching and learning of fractions, revitalizing the knowledge and skills of the community adapted in a didactic resource, called pedagogical booklet. The research adopts a qualitative approach and the method of participatory action research, using tools such as participant observation, field diaries and interviews for data collection with the participation of 6th grade students, graduate A.P. and the knowledge and skills of textile traders, merchants and people from the San Juan de Ilumán community. The main results indicate a significant improvement in the teaching process of the fractional term adapted to the context, demonstrating the effectiveness of this pedagogical approach in the development of knowledge and skills of children and with it the importance of implementing resources adapted to their environment.
