Abstract
The present work was carried out in the course of the pre-professional practices developed in the CEI Ciudad de Cuenca, where we supported, accompanied and experimented together with the infants from 4 to 5 years old of the sublevel 2 C; it was evidenced that they show inconveniences in the notion of number and quantity. Therefore, the research question is posed, the objectives and the corresponding justification are stated. As a result, the theoretical basis was based on the constructivist model of Vigotsky, Bruner and Dienes; also, the Early Education Curriculum 2014, topics related to the subject addressed and mathematical logical thinking were discussed. Likewise, the methodology is composed of case study, approach, paradigm to understand and reflect the educational reality of sublevel 2C, on the other hand, there is the operationalization of the category and the techniques used to collect relevant data. Similarly, for the analysis of information, codification, densification, semantic networks and triangulation were used to better interpret the results obtained. Likewise, a Didactic Primer entitled: The magic of number and quantity was designed and validated by expert judgment at the initial level. From this perspective, the validation had different points of view to enrich, improve or modify; in such a way that it is effective and viable. Likewise, the results were positive because the activities seemed pertinent to achieve the proposed objective. It is concluded, according to the contributions of the specialists, that the three moments of the Singapore method were present; the concrete deduces the manipulation of objects, pictorially aimed at the symbolic representation of what was previously learned and abstract demonstrating what was learned in this process.
