Abstract
The following investigation searches to demonstrate the consolidation of knowledge from the subject of Cultural and Artistic Education in the Educational Unit of San Luis Beltrán through the visit of the Museum of Aboriginal Cultures, located in the city of Cuenca Ecuador, Education is a such a diverse field, which is not just realized in a classroom, but also in other institutions and environments. For Cultural and Artistic Education, it is of upmost importance to link cultural and artistic spaces that enrich formal education. For the development of this investigation, it started with an investigation of the fundamentals, creating a theoretical base that supports the study. The methodology of investigation is qualitative, utilizing Investigation-Action and using the data collection instruments of anecdotal record and a qualitative questionnaire. The reason for this investigation is to show the need that the Museum of Aboriginal Cultures can be a instance to formulate knowledge. For this, there was a intervention through a Didactical Unit focused on Cultural and Artistic Education, based on the learning of arts, ancestral cultures, based on the visit of the Museum. The principal result is that the contents were assimilated in an active form throughout the guided visit of the museum, with an emphasis on a dimension of the importance and appreciation of the knowledge related to different ancestral cultures in its different periods, focusing on the comprehension of cultures and its relation to curricular objectives.
