Abstract
The curricular integration work called a didactic guide for the emotional development of children from 4 to 5 years old in the artistic expression area of the Early Education Center “Alberto Astudillo”, has like objective design a guide of didactic activities based on the Reggio Emilia pedagogy that promoted emotional development in the artistic expression area in children aged 4 to 5 years. The research was based on the pedagogical theory of Reggio Emilia, it was taken as a reference to the Childhood Education Curriculum (2014), children`s emotional development, and artistic expression in childhood education. The research methodology is based on applied type Action-Research, from the socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative approach, given that it was into intended to seek solutions to educational problems through an intervention plan. The research instruments that were used to collect the information were field diaries, observation guides, interviews with teachers, and survey of parents. Based on the information, the educational intervention proposal called “Didactic Guide” was designed, whose general objective is to promote emotional development in children aged 4 to 5 years in the artistic expression area according to Reggio Emilia's pedagogy, which comprises eight activities. According to the diagnosis, the result was that the teacher uses the constructivist game work methodology to enhance critical thinking and has shown few didactic resources to work on emotional development through artistic expression.
