Abstract
Communication compensation in a student with dysarthria is a challenge for current education since it is a speech disorder that affects the articulation and pronunciation of sounds. Therefore, the general objective of the following work was to propose a system of activities, through video games, for the compensation of communication in a student with dysarthria. In order to provide a theoretical basis for this study, several authors, such as Duffy (1995,2005), Melle (2007), among others, mentioned that this disorder is of organic origin. Therefore, the research responds to an interpretive paradigm, it is based on a qualitative approach and the method is a single case study, since it focuses on a single student; the category of analysis is communication. Therefore, techniques such as participant observation, semi-structured interview and documentary analysis were used, which allowed the identification of difficulties such as: affection in the components of language, with greater affection in the phonetic-phonological component, unintelligible language, limited vocabulary and limited communication. Based on the above mentioned, the researchers propose a system of activities through video games that has three phases, six levels and seven videos focused on working the components of language to compensate the communication of the student with dysarthria; although it was not applied, according to specialists, they affirm that the system is not very effective.
