Abstract
The present research aimed to design a family orientation guide for comprehensive sexuality education of children with intellectual disabilities, in order to provide knowledge on the subject that helps to break with myths and taboos about sexuality. The research arises from the need detected in the fourth and fifth year of functional basic general education, where there was evidence of ignorance on the subject of sex education. The methodological development of the work is based on a case study, which has been developed through non participant observation. The same one that responds to a research work from a mixed approach, with depth of descriptive level research with a socio-critical research paradigm. The techniques used for the collection of information were: interview, observation, survey and bibliographic review, each with its own research instruments. All the information obtained led to the design of an intervention proposal that refers to a family orientation guide for comprehensive sexuality education, this guide assumes concepts of inclusion and human rights that do not violate or discriminate against people with intellectual disabilities with respect to comprehensive sexuality education to which they have the right to access. Yielding as an important conclusion, the duty and responsibility of families to provide sufficient resources and necessary tools so that their sons and daughters with or without disabilities have access to information that allows them to end erroneous beliefs about sexuality.
