Abstract
The following research focuses on a list of recommendations to improve an educational guidance experience that used the mobile phone as its main tool and occurred at Universidad de las Artes (Arts, University, Ecuador). The pedagogical experience was carried out in 2019, as part of the host tutorials for Nivelación course with a group of twenty-one students who applied to the dance degree course. The most significant recommendations include —but are not limited to—: (1) offering alternatives to students who do not have smartphones, (2) insisting that open questions do not have right or wrong answers, (3) encouraging permanent communication with other teachers, (4) reviewing the completion of the exercises before the group session, and (5) considering the need to apply a similar experience in other academic environments.
