Abstract
The steady changes that education is undergoing have made the way of approaching teaching and learning processes evolve, part of this advance has brought with it the incorporation of Information and Communication Technology in the educational field. The use of TAC favors the development of reading comprehension skills declared in the National Basic Curriculum of Ecuador. The present investigation arises from the experience of the pre-professional practices of the Basic Education career of the National University of Education. This study aimed to develop a didactic intervention proposal with the use of TAC for the consolidation of reading comprehension in the area of Language and Literature in fifth grade students of the "Sudamericano" Educational Unit, during the school year 2021- 2022. Among the theoretical references, Lozano (2011), Velasco (2017), Ministry of Education (2016) stand out. The methodology inscribes a Socio-Critical paradigm, based on a qualitative approach. For the collection of data, the techniques of observation, content analysis, survey directed to 21 students and interview oriented to the teacher were used. The instruments administered were: field diary, content analysis matrix, questionnaire and interview script. As a result of the investigation, a didactic intervention proposal was designed for the consolidation of reading comprehension. In conclusion, the incorporation of Learning and Knowledge Technologies for reading comprehension is beneficial, since it contributes to the execution of classes in the Language and Literature area and to the development of the teaching and learning process.
