Abstract
The present Curricular Integration Work (TIC) arises as a product of the pre-professional practices carried out with the students of the 4th Year of Elementary General Basic Education of the "A" and "B" parallels of the Educational Unit "Sayausí" (U.E. "Sayausí") during the academic period 2022-2023. In this framework, the research provides an answer to the identified problem, which was the lack of motivation of students in the subject of Cultural and Artistic Education (ECA). Therefore, the objective of the TIC was to create a didactic proposal based on music, in order to motivate children in the 4th year of Elementary General Basic Education of the "Sayausí" Educational Unit and contribute to their learning in the ECA subject. The methodology responds to a qualitative approach under the action-research design, therefore, the data collection techniques used were participant observation, semi-structured interview and focus groups; the research subjects were 76 students and the teacher in charge of ECA. The results obtained after the analysis of the information collected, show as main conclusions the relevance of the intervention proposal, since music contributed significantly to the children's motivation, improved their social relationships through teamwork and fostered critical thinking. Thus, by adapting music to the students' interests and ensuring that it is appropriate for their age and context, teachers can take advantage of this valuable resource to enhance the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of children of this age in a playful and enriching way.
