Abstract
The present research presents a scenario from the preprofessional practice that was carried out in the school "Herlinda Toral", in the eighth year of basic general education. The pedagogical pair participated in practicums during a 9-week period where they researched, observed, reflected and analyzed the different didactic deficiencies in the classroom and a case study was selected with different aspects related to academic reinforcement. The methodology of the single-type case study made it possible to gather information through an interview with the teacher, field diaries and the analysis of information collected through the data collection instruments. Indispensable elements were obtained to improve the teaching-learning processes of mathematics through the development of pedagogical workshops. The pedagogical workshops respond to the need to ensure that students master and overcome the required learning and not only reach them. With the development of the workshops, positive results were obtained since the students were actively motivated and participated in them. In addition, emphasis was placed on the fulfillment of the skills with performance criteria for the improvement of the teaching and learning of mathematics.
