Abstract
The teaching-learning process is a system of interactions between teacher - student. Therefore, this research project is titled Innovative didactic strategy to improve the learning of inorganic compounds in the first year of high school, was applied in the Luis Cordero Educational Unit of the city of Azogues. Its general objective is to implement an innovative didactic strategy to improve the learning of inorganic compounds in the first year of high school in the Luis Cordero Educational Unit. The specific objectives are to document specialized bibliography on teaching-learning didactics, diagnose the level of learning, design the innovative didactic strategy and determine the influence of the innovative didactic strategy on inorganic compounds in the first year of high school. In order to contrast the innovative didactic strategy, an initial diagnosis was made with 2 groups: one called control and the other experimental. Subsequently, the innovative didactic strategy described in phases was executed: planning, system of activities, implementation and consolidation of learning in the experimental group. As a result of the innovative didactic strategy, the students showed interest in the formulation and nomenclature of binary and ternary compounds, which was reflected in their academic performance and participation through individual and group activities, leaving aside rote learning. However, the control group, by maintaining a traditional teaching rhythm, the results were similar to the initial diagnosis.
