Abstract
The research project with the theme "Approach to an educational audit in the pedagogical dimension of the Dayuma Educational Unit at the beginning of the 2019 - 2020 school year". It was based only on the standards of school management of the pedagogical management dimension, since it is closely linked to the teaching-learning process, without recognizing the importance of the other dimensions, with the objective of providing the institutional authorities with an external evaluation based on an approach to the process of an audit framed in the levels of achievement reached by the institution in the pedagogical management dimension within the standards of educational quality. The method used during the research was qualitative, through the deepening of definitions and their respective characteristics, carrying out the processes of: planning in which the instruments of information collection of the research were designed and the processes and procedures in the pedagogical field of the educational institution were delimited according to the necessary requirements for the approach to an educational audit. Execution. - In which, the instruments of collection of information like the checklist and the rubric for the documentary review were applied. As a result of the analysis, the evaluation of the matrix of school management standards reached 58.34%, equivalent to 7 points, located in the yellow color of the traffic light, indicating that the educational institution must improve in some processes of the pedagogical management dimension. In conclusion, the study focused on the approach to an educational audit, where the inspection and monitoring of the different educational processes contribute to improve quality standards, teacher performance and the teaching-learning process in the Dayuma Educational Unit.
