Abstract
The present research is framed in the application of Project Based Learning (ABP), for the subject of Cultural and Artistic Education (ECA), as a methodological strategy with 4th year students of the School of Basic Education "Mercedes Vázquez Correa". The execution of the proposal allowed the development of skills according to curriculum block No 1, The I: Identity. This proposal is generated after the experience and knowledge acquired during the pre-professional internship during the eighth and ninth semester of the career, in which the type of methodologies used were analyzed, the same ones that obeyed traditional education, since they were based on repeating models without strengthening creativity in students. Given this situation, the research and application work aimed to make the student the protagonist of their own learning, acquiring creative skills and abilities through the implementation and diversification of artistic languages. With the methodological application of the ABP, active education was promoted through various didactic strategies, such as collaborative work, research, exploration, object design, imparting and acquiring new knowledge, through the development of small artistic projects in which students developed their creative potential and were reflected in them. The main goal that we set was that through the application of the project to generate in the students a direct approach with art, as well as to enhance their skills and abilities according to block 1, official curriculum of ECA.
